The goal is to evaluate for a possible psychological diagnosis and to provide evidence-based recommendations for treatment planning

Intended to evaluate an individual’s learning profile in terms of intellectual capabilities, areas of cognitive functioning, achievement in reading, writing, and math, and screening for any emotional or behavioural barriers to learning to assist with planning for school/work accommodations and coordination of learning supports

A specialized type of psychological assessment intended to evaluate the presence of traits associated with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). We understand the importance of getting a diagnosis quickly in order to access funding and supports, so we tailor the complexity of the assessment to meet you or your family member’s needs

A specialized assessment intended to evaluate an individual’s development in terms of intellectual capabilities, along with their ability to engage in activities of daily living. Available for children and adults (i.e., identify a possible Global Developmental Delay (GDD) or Intellectual Developmental Disorder or to determine eligibility for developmental supports, such as Developmental Services Ontario)

Psychotherapy & Other Interventions

Dr. Price will support you and/or your family member through a therapeutic process to address and manage any emotional or behavioural challenges, with the goal of improved coping, personal growth, and mental wellness. Dr. Price provides psychotherapy for children, adolescents, and adults to support a variety of presenting concerns, such as mood and anxiety problems, trauma and adjustment to life stressors, impulse control problems, obsessive and compulsive behaviours, etc. using a tailored approach, which may include Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Play Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Prolonged Exposure or Trauma-Focused CBT for trauma, behavioural strategies, etc.

Similar to individual psychotherapy, group therapy uses psychotherapeutic strategies, usually Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), in a group setting, either in person or virtually

Support for caregivers in terms of managing difficult behaviours, learning parenting strategies, and better understanding a child’s development

Support for caregivers, schools, agencies, etc. in better understanding the nature of a child’s difficult behaviour(s) and recommendations for the development of a behaviour treatment plan. Dr. Price also offers consultations to coach and monitor the implementation of behavioural strategies

Support for caregivers, siblings, other family members of an individual who has a psychiatric or neurodevelopmental condition to better understand the diagnosis, determine implications for home life, and for general coping

Dr. Price offers workshops and presentations on various mental health topics. Feel free to reach out with any requests for novel topics. Previous topics have included psychoeducation regarding Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), technology use and child development, and strategies to support childhood anxiety

We offer a developmental approach to mentor graduate students looking to register with their respective colleges. There are also volunteer opportunities for bachelor-level students
